1)A friend to me is someone who stands BESIDE me, not behind me.
2)Someone who stands strong more so in bad times than in good, THAT is when you know the level of their true friendship. Being there in good times is easy, but when things get tough, that's the true test.
3)Someone you can confide in without thought or hesitation.
That's to name a few... I have a SHITLOAD of people I talk to and genuinely LIKE, but the ones I call friends ALWAYS always know where they stand with me, and are those I am loyal to to the very bitter end, and then a few more steps past that.
