I'm not allowed to post a link to another board here, but if you do a search on google for "newbie webmaster resource" you'll find the place I'd tell you to go.

Stick with the newbie boards where people are there to help you until you get your feet wet and start making some $$. All you're going to get here is flames from idiots who aren't making anything more than you, but like to act like bigshots on GFY while posting from their mother's basement.

The hardest climb for me in this business was from 0 to 1K a month. From 1K to 2K and 2K to 5K and 5K to 10K are much easier jumps to make than that initial climb out of the cellar. (mostly because when you first start you don't know shit)

90% of the people who start in this business quit within 6 months.
80% of the people posting on this board make less than 1K a month.
You have to take most of what you read here with a 50lb bag of salt.

My first thought was, "How can you NOT make over $500/wk at this biz?" Just what is it you work at for 15 hours a day? You're not going to find anyone that says "Here what I do, just copy me!" but if you post what you're doing you'll find plenty of people to critique you...

Nice post man. 100% correct. More than half the people on GFY probably have part time jobs to enable them to do this full time.

I do this full time and make my living doing so. I have never said how much I make per week and won't ever do so. I make enough to be happy and have a nice life. I go on holiday several times per year and attend the conventions

If it wasn't possible to make $500/week in this biz, NO one would be in this biz.

I would venture to suggest that 95% of people who post here make less than 1k a month, there are 8 people left who post here on gfy who make a good income.

That's the best advice I've heard so far. Just because *someone* makes $2K/week, doesn't mean that *you*can. Most people are not cut out to make a fulltime living doing this.

Despite the usual few daft answers this thread amazingly (for GFY) contains all you need to know. The rest is simply down to your own hard work, intelligence and flair for selling. If you lack those then take the other bit of advice - get out now.

Some people can't be helped.

Read articles and ask questions, hit boards and do searches on your questions.

If you have had that question, I bet you that someone else has as well, might as well see what the responses are.

Network with people, there are a few webmasters that just ICQ'd me outta nowhere and offered advice. I am very grateful to these people for their advice that they have shared.

I hope you are not trolling. There are many ways to make coin in the business, it simply takes time to get to that point. The days where people could start out making $10,000 a month are long long over.

You can make good money selling content, traffic, or programming. There are many people who do quite well offering all three services.

The secrets of making money in this biz won't fall into your lap; you must experiment constantly.

I totally agree.. if you are the sort of person who gets frustrated easily and lacks perserverance, self employment is not for you. Being self employed is about finding creative solutions to problems and turning them into positives.

Wow I think thats impossible for me. The most I do is bout 4-6hrs a day and thats RARE.

Advice: Don't give up, eventually you will catch a break.

1. Buy a domain: Be creative. Try combinations of sexually suggestive terms.

- Now that you've signed up for trades let the traffic you purchased flow into increments of 5K. Now you have 4 days to tweak all of your settings

- Step 2: Make a free site or galleries matching in design the tour of the site you're selling.

The main thing is to figure out what interests you most... I am sure that posting thumbs to galleries that won't give you a partner account and require hand typing security numbers/letters isn't your idea of making money and it will never get easier. Actually it will because OCR is right around the corner to turn those fuckers back into autofilled in forms again.

Find your niche thing you can do well and go for it. When successful at it and comfortable enough to leave your day job, find another something to take its place.

I make over $1000 a week in my niche and about $500 a month in my second niche I just started last month... Once the second is running about $1000 a week I may pick up a third for a while and then think about saving money, buying a better house, better car and what not... But you also need to work. Not jack off... Not get side tracked... And do shit... do lots of shit... making 10 mistakes and 1 thing perfect over a 2 hour period is better than reading and thinking for 10 and then getting it right the first time or getting it wrong and fed up with how much time it took to suck at something you really tried for.

It is basically like posting thumbs... getting 10k in traffic, getting 10 hits... or doing 4 things in 8 hours, and a few times a week some hit and learning how to make all 4 pay each and everyday... persistence...

Bingo. That's the main thing to remember. Don't work hard, work smart. Think things through before doing them!

I'd like to know what he spends 15 hours a day doing. I hope it's not just TGP submissions starting out. I made Pocket change with galleries. Nothing to brag about. I never started seeing "ok" income until I started playing with freesites. Built 3-4 a week, submitted to 45 link lists with 5 mirrors. Money started getting better. tweaked my advertising. Watched my sales referal urls. By process of elimination I figured out what works. TEXT. Juicy, keyword relevant TEXT. Brought that same style to each page. Doubled my income. Found a sponsor that works well for me and income trippled on top of that.

Then I started doing freesites for other people. Charging 30 dollars a pop. Now, if you can get 30 bux a pop at 2 sites per day at 8 hours per day. That's 60 bux a day. Spend another 3 or 4 hours a day making a freesite for yourself. Submit. You can expect minimum 1 sale per day from your own freesites after you get a few dozen freesites built. That's $90 a day in your pocket assuming you have a $30 per signup sponsor bud. As time goes by and your advertising metods get stronger sales may inscrease even more and once you have a good 100 sites out there you should be picking up SE traffic on older sites. That means random sales here and there.

Be intelligent, choose a sponsor for your freesite building that either recurs and has origional content (that way you get decent recurring income. That's 10 dollars you made today will turn into another 10 next month then possibly another 10 the next month thereafter. Money is building up bud. Or if you chose a good PPS sponsor like Extreme Paychecks or even use their revshare program if you can target well You'r naling $40 a signup .During all this keep building freesites for clients. Give them quality, you will notice that when people are paying you for sites you will be putting kickass effort into it. They will notice this and appreciate it. Eventualy raise price to $40 per site once you are comfortable that you are providing a good service to clients.

Now here comes the fun part. Remember all those freesites you have been building for the past X amount of months? You just learned how to advertise effectively!! (please read the part about watching sales referal urls again, then read it 3 more times until it sinks in). Ok, so now you have an effective advertising method that you could kick the shit out of TGP's with. From that day forward combine the first and second gallery from your freesites and cut a few pics out to make a TGP gallery. Whore the boards collecting partner accounts. Create a good 150 tgp list that is relevant to the niche you are promoting (keep niche in mind for bottom of this post). Now submit your gallery to the tgp's on a daily basis. You will pickup at least one sale a day.

Guess what? With raised fee's to clients, freesite sales and minimum tgp sales you are now making over a $100 a day EASY (with PPS) or roughly $70 (if you chose revshare, recurring will kick in a month later and that wil double or even tripple withw ell targeted traffic with good unique promoted sites). This numer of sales per day will increase as time goes by and you have more and more freesites and galleries listed all over the fucking place.

SO by now your daily schedual should be this.

1) Wake up, shit shower shave fuck the cat, and floss the dog. Whatever!
2) Build TWO freesites for clients. (Never do 2 sites for one clients, break it up into two clients per day so you don't get bored)
3) Take a nice hour long break for lunch.
4) Build YOUR freesite. Submit it.
5) Create a TGP gallery form it. Submit it.
6) Have supper and call it a night. CHecking in with clients whenever you have a few minutes to spare, try to keep your following week's work layed out for you on a dry erase board)

7) Turn that TGP gallery into a TGP2 gallery with pictures on HTML pages. Submit it to The Pool
8) Relax, your day is DONE.

Making money in a crowded enviromant is about how well you do it not how cheap, fast or slick. Because you cannot be better at them than people before you.

Treat the business with respect, the surfer with respect and you will make money. Try to cut corners, do it on the cheap and abuse the system you will fail.

Ok now lets talk NICHES! This is something people ALWAYS disregard. Most people just find what looks good design wise and payout structure wise. The truth is, if you find a niche that is less promoted that you actualy get a hardon from your advertising and effort will be so much better. Also, using less promoted niches will give you a bigger piece of the pie. Chosing a teen or amateur sponsor is a waste of time in most cases since everyone and their dog promotes it! Exception is when looking at it's sub-niches. Example. Pantyhose teen from Extreme Paychecks is a TEEN site, but it's more of a pantyhose fetish. Market it as a pantyhose site with teh fact that it's teen just being the gravy on the patatoes. Another good example is if you prefer to market amateurs find an obscure type of amateur site such as amateur wives, amateur panties, etc etc.


Money is in NICHES. Sure some people make a KILLING from standard xxx sites but these are people who have had years under their belt or just have a natural ability to sell ice to eskimo's.


Hope all this advice helps. If youf ollow this guide, STICK TO IT for a year. I swear, if your not dumb as a doornail you WILL be making at least 200 a day on good days after 6 months. In a year,... who knows. You will most likely be wanting to move onto something else. Which is perfectly fine. You will have experience under your belt to do whatever you want. Making money in this biz is all about how badly you want it and how disciplined you are.
