One of the reasons drugs (the legal kind) are more expensive in the US is that doctors here are given a kick back on each prescription they write. That?s one of the reasons for prescribing a name brand. They make more.

Another may have to do with the exchange rate and other regulations. In any case, we don?t have the full story.

Not all in America have it that good. Both Canada and US systems have their problems. Can?t claim to know everything about it. Veterans in America in the VA system have to wait too ? I have seen first hand, very sad. Canadians are prolly getting better car than our own vets! If you don?t have medical insurance, it gets ugly too. You just don?t get the care you need, not even after a long wait.

Some say, that hospitals have to give away free care to the poor, which is very limited care!

Insurance companies also decide what tests you get and what procedures are given. I agree it would be worse if the government decided. Money talks! So if you have it, life is better as is the mediacal care.
