get a fancy ring box and put a ring from a box of cracker jacks in it and give to girifriend/wife. That will go over real well.

Yeah that is what one of the girls is getting, except it has a steel washer in it instead of a ring

Not gag gifts, but my kids have been known to do gag wrapping - one year they gave me a cd that they put in a box, in a box , in a box etc - the parcel under the tree was like a 2 foot cube

I've always thought that gag gifts weren't very tasteful at Christmas time, but now that I hear how much fun you can have with it, I think we may do that ourselves! Thanks for the idea, Choker, it sounds like a great way to have some family fun

LOL do it man, as long as you have real presents also. The look on the kids face as they are unwrapping a present and the sigh of relief when they find it is a real present is priceless. But as my kids are getting older, they are getting their revenge by coming up with better gag gifts than I ever could.

I gave my man some of those fake lottery tickets .. (we celebrated xmas early with his family..) for a minute he thought he won 20,000. priceless

I used to wrap birthday presents for friends in ~50 layers of newspaper and string tied on different layers, and of course would use ducttape. Even if scissors are used it takes a long time.
