Voting for Bush after this term is like begging to be raped again.
It's like when a victim sympathizes with their rapist or their captor when they are held against their will. They eventually develop unnatural sympathetic feelings toward the criminal.
Bush would piss all over your face if it meant that he could continue to run America in secret!
I hate to also be the one to reveal the fact that Bush would cut your heart out with a spork if it meant four more years for him. Now vote for him you simple minded renob.Comment

Bush saw your post and he now believes that Australia might have WMD. He is going to invade . . . I hope you understand! America can't fight terrorism without knocking out countries like Australia.

I was stunned that Fox News allowed this to air.
Of course Konracke was taken out behind the building shortly thereafter and shot.

actually I think he is saying that our health care is going to improve by allowing everyone to go to Canada to buy their drugs . . . great planOriginally posted by tony404
My pleasure to explain it to you. Right now old people are buying drugs in canada which is not really allowed but they do it because medicare is so expensive.
Sharpton was talking about that . Right now you really do nt have the option to buy drugs from Canada he will change that so all americans can do that. So if you are paying alot of money from drugs you will have the canada option , while old people wont have to do that because medicare will get better drug deals instead of the bullshit they just got.Comment

Thats one my favorite parts. Lets bring back jobs to America but go to Canada for your meds.Originally posted by baddog
Okay. . . . someone please explain this to me . . . .
Our health care plan for a stronger America cracks down on the waste, greed, and abuse in our health care system and will save families up to $1,000 a year on their premiums. You'll get to pick your own doctor and patients and doctors, not insurance company bureaucrats, will make medical decisions. Under our plan, Medicare will negotiate lower drug prices for seniors. And all Americans will be able to buy less expensive prescription drugs from countries like Canada.
Didn't Sharpton just complain last night that seniors were being forced to go to Canada to get their meds?
Takes the advantages of being wealthy away. Dont the wealthy create jobs? I cant afford to create a job for someone. Since I cant afford to hire someone here in the States so I think I'll send my business to india.Comment

I thought it was a terrific political speech, even Pat Buchanan said so. He exceeded expectations but did more than that.
I think alot of people, including myself, who were simply anti-Bush before tonight, became pro-Kerry.
He was forceful, playful at times, projected strength and seemed, well, "presidential", like a statesman. He made excellent points about the flag and patriotism, religion, oil and even went after Ashie
He came into his own tonight and took full control of the Democratic party, effectively ending the Clinton era.
Overall, I thought he did what he had to do and much, much more.

Kerry showed tonight that he is beginning to gain confidence in his role. Just wait until the debates, he is going to tear Bush apart and make him look like a child. Kerry will win in a landslide.Comment

Do we really have a choice? (Kerry is worse than Bush, Bush is worse than Kerry, etc, etc, etc). Well we only got 2 choices and we either choose one or let Bush & his prick brother down in florida click the chads for us again.. Personally I plan to choose someone NEW.. we already know the one we got is a little angry prick who makes very poor decisions.
What kerry had to say might be bullshit (who knows) but I gotta tell you guys, for about 10 minutes it really felt great to be an american again.. I never liked the look of Kerry, he has a plastic almost fake look about him and we all know bush is a war mongering idiot with the IQ of the average house plant. I almost dont care how Kerry does, he can't possibly do any worse that what ole idiot bush has done.
Anyone going to watch the Sho-time special? I think its called "American President" or some shit like that.. I plan to be a weekly viewer of that shit.. just might get a REAL (person) president out of the deal.. We'll see.. I'm optimistic about it so far..Comment

As someone who leans republican, I have to say that Kerry gave a pretty good speech. He said everything he needed to say and he came off looking like he would be strong on terrorism should he be elected.
Unfortunately, he did the same thing that most democrats do: he promised us the moon but didn't tell us how much it is going to cost us in the end. He said we should increase defense spending, that we should not privatize social security, and that we should not cut out important government programs, especially for kids. How exactly is he going to pay for all this? He's not going to get it by lowering taxes on the middle class, which he also promised to do in his speech.
My problem with the democrats is simple. They tell us flat out that they will not raise taxes on the middle class. I flat out don't believe them.Comment

oh, and:
"In today?s weaker economy, tax receipts from companies have fallen even steeper -- corporate taxes now account for a mere 7.5 percent of overall federal tax receipts, the lowest rate since 1983. For a comparison, during WWII corporate taxes accounted for about 40% of federal tax receipts."

Exactly! When Bush visited ground zero after 9/11 and was with the fireman on top of that car and told those around him that the WORLD heard them and soon Osama would hear from them too..it felt GREAT to be an American.Originally posted by viguru

Then we went after Osama & company..but then, suddenly we started walking a new path (Iraq) and Al Qaeda became like an afterthought. Since then, nothing that Bush has done has made me proud to be an American.

I think its safe to say that's a pretty standard thing, even bush did that shit and since we only have 2 choices, we have to look past all that BS and figure out who is going to be a better leader, who is going to make better choices.. we already know bush is a freak whos made one too many bad ones.. time for change IMO, dont care what kerry said or bush said.. VOTE KERRY!!! :DOriginally posted by baddog

I made my 2nd donation to JohnKerry.com today.
I encourage everyone here to do the same even if its a small amount.
Kerry has raised more money than Bush so far. Its critical to financially support the candidate you are behind. Its going to be a close race and every dollar helps pay for another ad to hit the message home.
Kerry-Edwards is the way to go in this election!!!
We need to get the ultra right wing zealots out of our government and get things centered again.

Agreed, so why spend money on a 4 day convention? This isn't like before when a candidate was actually picked at a convention. This was 4 days of a mutual circle jerk, and the money could have better spent.Originally posted by KRL
