    What's more important, cheap bandwidth or uptime ? Discuss..

    Actually, that's a stupid question, but what if you have paid up a year of hosting but your site keeps going down because of errors by the techs setting up yours or other people's DNS, FTP services go down etc.

    What if big TGPs were declining your submitted galleries:
    Reason:
    "Unable to connect to your server/site."

    What if you were getting approved and archived galleries kicked out by check bots because your site goes down?

    What if your full page ad traffic has DROPPED 80% becuase of all this?

    What if you lose 20,000+ guaranteed gallery hits for every random outage?

    Give me your thoughts.

          Uptime for sure... massive amounts of downtime for big tgps = loss of traffic, and sometimes it can take weeks to recover when the downtime is longer than a few hours.

              I don't like unstable hosting, so... uptime is more important in my opinion.

                  Uptime, for sure.

                  I never said "cheap hosting" in the terms of reputation. My host is one of the most respected and highly recommended hosts in the adult industry.

                  I have no idea why my sites are sporadically going down, I just get told it was some tech's mistake when they were doing something or another and didn't check this or that..

                  I just know my page traffic is consistently dropping, and this tells me that hundreds of the pages that I worked my ass off to build, optimize and submit are sitting there on the server doing nothing but taking up space, and THAT pisses me off.

                      i would rather spend twice as much and have 100% uptime than spend 1/2 the price and be down at all

                                          Would have to be uptime.. I own a hosting company. So if I offer you 5000G for $29.99 a month, but the server only had about 70% uptime what would you get out of that..

                                          You see all these people bitching about free hosts that are down all the time... well there you go.. unlimited bandwidth, for $0.00 a month.. but when there is downtime the come out of the woodwork bitching about it..

                                          So I would have to say hands down its uptime.
