It totally depends on your personality and what your job entails...
We have corporate office space that thankfully is in a different state... nice to have face to face meetings once in a while, but I can't work with other people around stopping in to chat or talking in the hall.
Also, I work with partners and affiliates all over the world so I need to be available at odd hours... going in to an office for 8-10 hours just isn't practical for me.
Plus, when I'm designing new sites and promo items, sometimes I need to be able to step away from the screen and go work out, sit by the pool, etc. to get a fresh persective... being forced to sit at an office desk tends to limit my creativity.
ON the OTHER hand, if you're the type of person who gets more creative by bouncing ideas off of live people and you deal with a localized clientele... go for it!
Cheers!
