Rule number 1 for December B-days... never combine gifts into one - get a gift for each occasion... especially with girlfriends. If you go with any of the jewelry set ideas above, you can give, say, the earrings for the bday and the necklace for xmas.

Where are you? Hit your town centre in the morning, or hit the trafford centre and it's all under one roof...

Accessorise & Monsoon - gloves and scarf
Boots - perfume, a photo album to keep the pics of you and her together
F Hinds - a nice watch or bracelet

Clinton Cards/Birthdays - they have those tiny keepsake cards that you can hide in shoes, under pillows, etc.

Debenhams - slipper socks
The Gadget Shop - a little gadget, something cool
Waterstones - a few books... they have some good romantic poetry stuff

Don't be afraid to enter the women's stores. They'll probably think you're gay, but that's the price you pay (hey I've been there myself).

JayJay, I said this before in another thread, but if you want a PERFECT gift to give her that she'll use every single night, buy her a nice comfortable DOWN FILLED PILLOW !! Don't get a cheaper one, get her a nice $40-$100 priced pillow, the higher up, the more comfortable they are because they have better filling. I got one for my wifey 3 years ago and she can't sleep without it. I even ended up buying one for myself

Zales is having a HUGE sale on their diamond jewelry! I saw some REALLY nice stuff on TV in their advertisement...of course this is RIGHT after my boyfriend took me to get a tennis bracelot (that was not 50% off) and it's already wrapped and crap!

I THINK it's kinda universal that women like diamonds and I'm betting at 50% off you can get something REALLY nice.
