Who thinks GFY needs a "1st post" column?

This board needs a "1st post" column, the "last post" column is ok but seems not as important as when the 1st post was. This board is so active that all the "last post" dates on the 1st few pages are the same (todays/new) anyways.

Just a thought.....

GFY needs a daycare.

How about this: Create a Daycare forum, put it right between this one and "Webmaster Q & A". Once a newbie joins they can only make their first fifty posts in the daycare.

Then instead of banning certain people, Lens could ban them back to the daycare. 2nd banning would be permanent.

Anybody else liking this daycare idea? I am.

They would post 50 times in the first 30 minutes. Definately needs to be a combo of reg date and posts.

Yikes, how about make them get a National ID card and send in the scan while you're at it...

A few more fuckin' mods should be able to handle this simple shit. I've been on here quite a bit for almost a week now and see a lot of regulars, why can't some of them be used and give them banner space up on top or something?

Fuck all that censorship/restriction talk...whoever is for that kind of thing, let's hear how many of you use AVS or age verification for all your sites....

Naw, just set the flood control in daycare to 5 minutes :D

If some moron wants to post 50 times consecutively it will take him or her like 5 hours to do it.

Daycare could also be moderated, and if someone who is banned to it or is just posting nothing posts and acting like a twit in there then they never get out.

Anyone can change IP and get a new name, then you start all over. And legit new posters are forced to see a bunch of worthless shit then they never come back, other boards will take the place.

Plug the holes, then get mods 24/7, not breezing in and out every few hours. Try that first.

Legit new posters (basically anyone).... get to post in any forum. As soon as they are nailed for spam or stupidity they get banned to the daycare for their next 50 posts. If they don't like it and quit the board, oh well. Is anyone going to miss a few retards?

Yeah, that's a good compromise. Many of you are advertising webmaster programs and new webmasters won't see that if they are automatically forced into "daycare" -- troublemakers likely don't give a shit anyway. So that would be cool with me on all levels.
