I do hope Clark keeps "defining" himself and starts putting forward specific proposals for his campaign.

I must admit my enthusiasm for Dean is starting to wane. Mostly because he just always seems like a mean old man and comes across as very "holier than thou"..which Bush does too!

One on One Clark is very engaging. Dean is not. But Dean delivers better stump speeches than Clark.

However, I'm starting to think that Clark, NOT Dean would have the better chance of beating Bush. Would love to see a Clark/Dean ticket..but I can't see Dean taking the 2nd spot.

Anyone else think Dean would accept the Vice President spot?

i'm basically apolitical.

but out of all of them Wesley Clark is the only one that impresses me.

and here's the thing you gotta like about Clark.

he's at a political event at a major university, and all the candidates are trying to woo the youth vote.

and some asswipe in the crowd asks the candidates to each answer the question "have you ever smoked pot?"

and of course the politically expedient answer to this crowd is to giggle sheepishly and admit that yes, you've have smoked it once in your life.

but Clark doesn't take the expedient route.

he looks the questioner right in the eye and says no---"i was in west point in my formative years. i have never smoked dope."

and right then i believed General Clark.

for me, it would just be refreshing if we had a president who stood tall, and just told the fuckin' truth.
