My friends and I always hit Red Lobster a couple of days before Christmas. It's a tradition. Last year I bought my cat his own bowl of crab legs. Poor little guy ate so much he cried.
He'll probably get the same thing this year + the usual assortment of toys. I don't have kids so I have to spoil someone.

We usually get sayonara nad akasha ( the dogs ) little treast every week for the few weeks before christmas. That way they dont eat decorations. And Bebe, the parrot, we give her new toys to chew on. They usually hang in her cage for 6 months or more untouched , then, one day we see them and they are destroyed. I get both my dogs chewies and my male dog the stuffed animals that squeek (the hedgehog is his favorite - long story, but he "nurses" on it). I get my cat the tissue paper that you use for wrapping gifts - for some reason, it's her favorite play toy...just a real PITA to clean up.
