If someone randomly picks one of your domains to forge their headers with when they spam, or if someone just blatantly lies and says they're receiving spam from your domain, you have cp on your site, etc., godaddy will change your nameservers and lock you out without even asking questions. Even if you prove that it's not true and that you're not at fault, they still won't release your domain back to you until you pay them a fee ($80, I think).
I use registerfly.

What she said. But then it is also clear in their terms that they can and will pull shit like that. A bit longwinded but it's one of the most important parts of your business so usually worth reading the TOS of a prospective host or domain company.
For the most part those who say GoDaddy are great are the sort of people who never think shit will happen to them. But then they are usually also the ones who scream the loudest when it does. My personal view is I simply can't afford to take the risk.
Oh - and I use directnic simply because the few times I've needed support over the years it has been fantastic. To me that's worth an extra few bucks each year.
