The petshop owner claims they have, no way to prove it for sure. They are captive bred seahorses not wild caught so it's actually quite common for them to breed in captivity. Captive bred seahorses also eat much much easier than wild caught. Wild caught are actually nearly impossible to get to eat and usually do not live long in captivity.Originally posted by cold_ice

A local petshop had genetically engineered zebra fish (freshwater speicies) which had a redish tint/glow to them. This was about 2 weeks ago and was the first I'd ever heard of any genetically engineered fish being for sale.Originally posted by Juicybone

Seahorses are so cool, heard they may be endangered because they are overharvested for use in eastern medicine.
I found one tangled in seaweed high up on the beach tide line when looking for shells in Rocky Point, Mex.Comment
