I was on my DEATH bed this weekend........Fuckin fever and chills suck.......Went thru 3 t shirts and shorts on Sat and Sun at night. Sweating like a dog. Mellow out for a day.........kick back get some fresh air and drink alot of water and gatorade and stuff...SCJason

I can't believe I'm still alive. Monday my back and legs were aching and I had a horrible headache. Spent most of the day in the bed. Tried to shake it off and work a little Tuesday afternoon, but after an hour I gave up. By Tuesday night my fever was 104 and everytime I coughed it felt like someone was driving steel spikes through my chest.
One of my best friends is an e/r nurse and I know one of the docs there, so they snuck me in the back door, but there were literally people lying on the floor cause the e/r waiting room was so full. It's some kind of upper respiratory virus that's going around here. It's awful. Today's the first day I've been upright, and I still feel like tee-total shit.

Well, lessee, last Friday I ruptured 2 discs in my back squatting 500lbs. So first think Monday morning, I went to my sports phys. / chiropractor got a big shot of Phenobarbitol and got manipulated. The gave me a script for Vicoprofen (Vicoden and Ibuporfen) for the pain and inflammation and one for Soma (muscles relaxer). Went to work Monday and got through the day without incident. That evening when I went to bed, my ear started hurthing, then my throat, then the whole side of my face. Fuck! I had a broken tooth that needed to come out. So I call every emergency room in the Tampa Bay area asking if they had an emergency dentist/oral surgeon who could treat me. NO was the answer across the board.
So I called an emergency dental clinic. What a racket, $250 to walk in the door. No insurance, no credit cards, no checks. Keeo in mind that this is 3:00am and I have been up all night on top of not having a good nights sleep since Thursday with a back injury. So anyway, I give the guy to $250 and he gets me numb and sends me off with another script for Vicoprofen.
Tuesday morning, still numb (thank God) and not terrible wracked with back pain because of the meds (thanks Dr Besser and Dr Wolstein) I call the oral surgeon. Get to the oral surgeon about 20 minutes later and get an X-ray. The news is not good. I have to have one my teeth removed and a portiona of the jaw with it.
15 minutes after that I'm strapped into the chair and drifitng into oblivion. I can only guess at how long I was drifting thorugh ether while the doc was yanking and cutting on me. My guess is about an hour and an half. I revive from the anaesthesia and amd sen home with a script for penicillian and Percocet(wooo-hooo).
I have 2 ruptured discs in my lower back, a mouthful of stitches and look like a fucking chipmunk. The updside is I have several bottles of painkillers , anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxers and slept like a baby last night.[email protected]

Theres a homeopathic treatment for the flu that is pretty awesome, it is called "oscillococcinum" and is available in the flu medicine section in some drug stores like walgreens and save-on; just need to start taking if at the first symptoms; It says it treats the symptoms but it pretty much kills the flu; don't know if it works on the intestinal variety, only the respiratory.
