    Why do spammers sell lists?

    Dont you want to keep your lists for yourself if youre spamming?
    I dont get it.

                              Becasue some lists work for certain people and some don't, they can be useless to one but gold mine to another, depends on a million things. sponsor, mailer, proxies, quality, quantity...

                              Because some lists are mostly hotmail,yahoo,aol, and not everyone can get through to them.

                              Because some people have a great source for lists but don't know the first thing about spamming.

                              Because some people bought lists and it didn't convert for them and they thought they got screwd wile they actually got a very good list which will make alot of money in the right hands

                              many reasons, can't waste too much time on it....
                              must...... go....... mail...... something......

                                  I think it's similar to selling spots on a TGP. Maybe you own the tgp but you're not doing as well with your galleries there. So you sell the spots and make more. However the buyer could be making a good amount. Same with lists... let's say somebody is selling a certain type of product and made some good money then the money dropped down because nobody is buying. If they sell a list to another person who promotes a different product (let's say instead of porn, they are doing mortgages) then they'll get some sales from that.
