When was the last time you saw a phonebook at a pay phone booth. We drove all over Daytona looking for one, and had to end up going inside Walgreens to borrow theirs.

Plenty of pay phones, NO phonebooks.

In Vegas last year. The room phones rates are ridiculous and roaming in the US for me on my cell phone is even worse. All I had to call was a toll free number too so why bother with roaming fees or getting rapped by hotel phone rates.

Last week I was at the gym and had to call home to ask if I needed to stop by the grocery store before going home. I don't take the cell with me on short trips like to the gym.

Phone books are always behind the counter in stores now. THey get stolen and vandalized all the time in phone booths.

I used one about three months ago because I was in Davis where there is no MetroPCS signal, and unfortunately I didn't have my backup ATT phone on me. And on top of that, the damn thing kept eating my quarters. I think it cost me around $4.00 just to make a local call.

Used one the other day when I had left the cell in the van. Those ind. contractor phone people have to be making some money... it was $1.00 to make the call!!! But it was windy and freezing outside... and a longgg way to the van. lol
