      Depends what type of program it is... payment per free email or registration, 1k should do, per sale or recurring, 5-10k should do.

          Too many other variables to take into account especially traffic source. I wouldn't test a sponsor with more than 1k of some of my traffic, other sources maybe 10k+.

                  Depends on the kind of traffic. With TGP traffic I would send like 5000 hits to determine how good it is, and with SE traffic a bit less, 1500-2000 maybe.
