Adults who expect gifts for Christmas are sad & pathetic

If there's something an adult needs or wants, s/he should buy it for themselves. It's so stupid seeing grown people exchanging crap with each other. Forced gift giving at certain times is just bullshit. You: here's a candle that I picked out for you. Them: wow, here's some cologne.

Pathetic. buy your own crap. spend time with your friends throughout the year.

The hubby and I aren't buying for each other... we decided on a few things we wante dfor ourselves and got them.. the only people we bought for are the kids (and we got LOTS), and a few nice things for the parents and grandparents to show our love and respect for them. I think if they EXPECTED gifts, I'd be pissed.

Adults who ask for things for Christmas or adults who receive presents?

I have not asked for one thing for Christmas but I know I am getting tons of presents.

My mom still offers me money. So does my grandma. What the fuck?

                        Typical conversation with grandma...
Grandma: So how is your computer business thingy doing honey?
Sly Daaawg: Ah it's going great grandma, gets better every month.
Grandma: Are you having any troubles paying your bills?
Sly Diggity: *chuckle* No grandma I'm fine, just bought 2 new computers.
Grandma: Are you sure I can't help you? Send me your electric bill and I'll help you out.

Happens EVERY time. Frustrating, yet funny at the same time. Hehe... I do ask her to send cookies though.

I get the adults in the crew the same thing for the last few years and its always a hit with them.

As most of us here, I own a digital camera and a copy of photoshop.

Take pics hanging out all year with various friends when were doing whatever over the course of the year.

Each person gets a folder on the CD.

Get some of the pics that were the good shots of the hanging out, touch up if necessary, maybe add some cool effects and balance to the final ones.

Print it out on the Photoprinter I have here and then, do my own matting and framing.

Matting - any craft hobby store

Frames - Dollar store or Ikea.

Very low cost, maybe $10 per picture..... Did this the last 2 years and everyone requested them of me for this xmas....

Cool way to preserve the good times with good friends....

along with easter, halloween, valentines day, and many others.

hallmark has a fuck of a racket going on. we should all move from this biz to where the real money is at. creating fake holidays, and the supplies to go along.
