which took up an area 9ft by 4ft
now i ve got em on dvd its all on 1 shelf

I only have about 20 DVDs. I've been to a rental store once in the past year+ and I ended up purchasing a couple of VHS tapes rather than renting something. Between C-band and MPEG FTA I have an insane amount of stuff I could never watch if that's all I did..Comment

I know how you feel. You should see our cd collection! No less than 2,000 cds in cases. They are a nightmare to organize and when you put the wrong disc in the wrong case while drinking, bye bye favorite cd til months later when you find it again. Thank goodness for mp3s.

Because at one point they were in alphabetical order. There is close to 500 there. After a while you just get tired of keeping them in alphabetical order especially when you buy a few and have to shift all the lower letters just to add 22 more to the upper shelves.Originally posted by dirtysouth
