Passing through that state earlier this month I saw something a bit disturbing... There were (on 2 different occasions) a car pulled over by 3-4 marked and unmarled cop cars... each time they had all these people's luggage out, hood open and the people standing on the side of the road.

Is this normal police activity there in that state? or were these people up to no good?

They looked like normal everyday people... nothing out of the ordinary... one car pulled over even had children with them.

What gives?

I got nailed in New Mexico for speeding and they just gave me a ticket and sent me on my way... Kinda curious about this.
