    Sadaam: the Case for Mercy......NOT!!!!

    Gee, maybe its me, but people who are genocidal maniacs and kill over a million others really don't deserve to live on this planet with the rest of us.

    I find the thread pleading for Sadaam's mercy to be an obscenity and an afront to human reason, progress, and intelligence.

    It is time for this man, after his trial, which is a mere formality, to take his medicine.

    It is time for Sadaam to shuffle off this plane due to the immense misery and human suffering he has caused. So before you start a moronic thread pleading for mercy, think of all the people he has killed and tortured and stolen from. Think of their lives first before opening your mouths. Even thinking about his devastation for a mere ten minutes, the depth of it, should sober anyone up.


    It is time for this man to die.

              Death is too good for him! It's over in seconds. He well be put to death if he's tried by an Iraqi court for war crimes.

                          It's down to where you come from. Living in the UK, we have no death penalty and 99% of us Brits wouldn't dream of such barbarism! Yet in the USA some states kill or murder thousands of prisoners a year in the gas chambers or electric chair.

                          No one should be put to death, no matter what they have done IMO. Let them live in a cell for the rest of their lives to pay for their crime and give them the chance of redemption. Never heard of showing humanity? That's what makes certain countries better than others. At least the British Government has already gone on record stating they do not want Sadam killed under any circumstance.

                          Iraq's new rulers do not allow the death penalty, so now the uSA wants Sadam tried in a place where he will get the death penalty. Seems to me that the USA want him dead regardless.

                          Even one of the USA congressman has gone on record as stating the guy should be killed. Saying such a thing should have the guy drummed out of office before his feet touch the ground.

                          What benefit would killing Sadam do? Would it stop the USA from being hated around the world? Not a chance! Would it stop american soldiers from being shot? No of course not.

                          All it would do would make more martyrs of fundementalists who hate everything George Bush stands for.

                                  Its called vengeance. I'm thinking more of the families of the tortured and dead, as well as the dead in their graves. They deserve to know Sodomy Hussein is being put to death. Its what he deserves.

                                          So if we catch Bin Laden we should let him live to? He didn't really kill that many people,I am sure he is sorry about it to.It's Not like those who lost thier lives really mean anything anyways do they?

                                                      I think putting him to death would be to easy a punishment for him. Behind bars for the rest of his life would be ideal however will there be terrorists attacks non stop demanding his release?

                                                      Its a touchy area. They are going to have a hell of a time getting intel out of him but that is priority 1. We will have to wait and see what develops from there.

                                                          Well let's see Saddam had a gun in a hole in the ground,he knew was being captured so that means two thoughts went thru his pea brain while he was laying in the dirt.

                                                          First thought: I could kill myself and end it all

                                                          Second thought: I could just let them capture me and hope to live to see another day and spend the rest of my life in prison.

                                                          He wants to live because he chose option 2. If he wants to live so much that just makes me even more wanna take his life away for what he did to those people!

                                                          As far as I am concerened we just caught the WMD and we should do what we would do with anyother WMD we find DESTROY it!!!

                                                              I see it different I think letting him live is an easy punishment for him seeing how he didnt kill himself! He must wanna live pretty bad!!! Why should I feel sorry for him? HE didn't give to shits about the lives he took away from other people?The lives he took away make 9/11's list look small!

                                                              I can handle letting him live til we get all the intel we can get from him , not that I would believe much of what he has to say anyways though ..

                                                                              I do recall the Pope in the 30's and 40's being soft on nazism too, and looking the other way at a lot of Germany's atrocities.....

                                                                              You can't be spineless in the face of evil. And you can't be spineless when dealing with Sadaam and his fate, and cloak it in phony moral righteousness.

                                                                              Some people get what they deserve and deserve what they get.

                                                                              And Sadaam will thus.
