Oh yeah baby!!

Good friend of mine is a volunteer for Road Runner Records. She was sent tonight to a show in Johnson City, TN to promote a new band, (can't recall the name, sorry), and did as she was to do.

After the show, she was supposed to be able to meet the band and get an autographed CD for her trouble. However, in the 100 degree heat and after several bottles of wine, the band in its entirety felt like total ass.

Their manager comes over to talk to my friend after she had hung out for about 2 hours, apologizing for the band. He then handed her two backstage passes and two general admission tickets to Ozzfest, which is tomorrow in Nashville.

Guess who's goin' with her!!!

Black Sabbath, Judas Priest (with Rob!), Slipknot, Lacuna Coil, Slayer, and Black Label Society......FUCK YEAH!!

Last time I went to ozzfest they took camera's at the gates and if they thought you where trying to sneak em in you got frisked and they ran everyone thru metal detectors ?

I've never been to an Ozzfest. Fun times??

If I'm not mistaken, I believe if you're working the show or have backstage passes, you are allowed to bring your camera, but only for the backstage areas. I'll ask again, but I think that's how it goes. I HOPE that's how it goes!

I went as press for a record company i was doing work for awhile back and they didnt let camera's but that was a year or so ago ...

It really isnt my type of music so I was just there for biz

edit : all I was aloud to bring in was the promo shit they had for me ... and a tape recorder

If you where with a magazine you could have camera's but that requires a bunch of proof

A bunch of friends and I snuck cameras into Ozzfest '99 and got some blackmail pics of the bands smoking weed and whatnot. Good times.

But on another note, how do you go about becoming a voluteer for Roadrunner? Also, does she have the abilitity to bring demos and stuff to the company? I know a band that would fit right in at Roadrunner, but it's hard to get out here in WI.

I am a member of the Type O Negative Street Team, but only theirs. If I'm not mistaken, to become a member of the Road Runner team, you have to go to their site and sign up. I do NOT believe that allows you to send in demos, but again, I'm not for sure on that.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
