    Internext Party Idea: Would you participate?

    Seeing as how we'll be there promoting our new version of our program, which is mostly an adult dating program, do you think this kind of idea would interest you?

    A blind-date type of party. Everyone wishing to participate fills out a small form, or just puts their name in a hat, whatever. People are paired up and go to some ativity or dinner together (paid for by us).

    Another option could be speed-dating, where people will sit with someone for 5 minutes then rotate....

    Or there could be more of a sexual slant on it, like a mix fo the above and truth or dare.

    Alcohol open bar ofcourse, and depending how it'll work posible dates paid.

    Would anyone think there would be interest?? Would enough women at the show want to participate (can't have only guys....)

                  depends of the talent pool.

                  I find that most of the men is this industry are infintely uninteresting...


                  But there are always exceptions...

                      Would be people just be randomly matched up or is there some kind of profile done prior to the show for people who want to participate?

                      I've heard Miami has one hell of a nightlife too.

                              leave the sexuality out of it. you could have an upper teir of industry luminaries who could be auctioned off for the date.

                              down side:

                              the 50:1 guy to girl ratio in this biz.

                                          Yeah I think this will require getting girls to say they'll participate beforehand so we dont end up in 50:1 situations....

                                          Perhaps for next time, right now is too close to showtime.

                                                      The speed dating definitely sounds interesting too.

                                                      Instead of filling out forms, just ask them a couple key questions. Depending on their reaction and body language, that would give you some clues.

                                                      You could do like those dating TV shows where they follow people around with a camera and watch them interact.

                                                                          The speed-dating one sounds like a winner. Even if you take the male-female "dating" aspect out of it (not sure if you'd have as many willing girls), then it would still be a good idea to modify and tailor it so that its just 2 webmasters at a time sitting down to get to know some people that they haven't met yet.

                                                                          It's a good way to expand your contact network either way.

                                                                                                              The girl to guy ratios are messed up so you'd have to have pics of the guys in advance and let the ladies choose which guy will be their "other" at the show. They pick their best 5 men after reading their summary of themselves and look at a few pics of each dude. Then you make the match, they find out who they get at the show, or at the dinner.

                                                                                                              Girls are pickier so this helps that aspect, and guys are easily satisfied with what they'll end up getting. So give the advantage to the ladies, let them choose their Daddy for the show.

                                                                                                              Just have them agree to not flake once they decide to put themselves on the market, no turning back.

                                                                                                              Then give me a thank you for a nice workable idea and run with that.

                                                                                                                  Thanks, that might make it interesting to more girls. However it does alienate people, and some people will be hurt girls didnt choose them, or not participate because they think they have no shot.....

                                                                                                                  We want as many people participating as possible, so I think a better way is the Speed method. If the girl is stuck with someone she doesn't like, it's only a few minutes (and free drinks will help this!)

But I agree that maybe you should remove the sexual slant. Fun flirty questions would be fine, but I wouldn't want to be macking on an ugly chick anymore than a chick would want to mack on an ugly dude. Let it be optional: talk business or let the minority (i.e. the girls) have 'flirt' cards with questions they hand out, or just do the typical bullshit party talk.
