I needed a new phone because the battery in my old one died and nobody sells a replacement anymore. I just wanted whatever cheap one came free with a contract renewal but cell phones have gotten so cool, I had to upgrade. I got two Sanyo picture phones with web access, instant messaging and all that jazz. It's definitely easier than pulling out my laptop to read the news or check my e-mail. Easily worth the extra monthly charge.
I don't know what's happening to me...I started out so anti-cell phone about 5 years ago. I hope I don't end up one of those assholes that talks in a loud voice into a headset in public or one of those idiots that yaks away in the car and causes accidents.
