I'd like to add that's if you're using a 9.x operating system (win98, win 95, ect)
since each application requires 4 gigs virtual memory, when it finds RAM it'll just suck it up to make up for the four gigs.
However, if you're using a true 32-bit operating system like win 2000 you'll notice improvments in performance even if you go above 512mb of RAM.
