    Top-notch Perl programmers post here

Still looking for an outstanding Perl (no PHP for this project) programmer who is available to add additional features to an existing, large script suite. So that means adding your own new programming as well as interfacing it with existing modules/scripts.

This parituclar job is expected to take about six weeks to complete. Start immeadiately. Will probably lead to additional work in the future.

For details, please hit me up at dravyk at dirtygloves dot com with "Programming" in the subject title (to make sure it doesn't get 86ed with the spam floods). Do feel free to post here too, but emails will garner priority attention. Examples of your work or resume a must.

Why Perl? ... Why not Perl?

I don't want to get into the whole "language" school debate here. We all know how that goes.

I will only say that PHP rocks for many scripts, and I have scripts I use and scripts I have for sale that utilize PHP. On many things, but not in all, it is preferred. On some things I prefer Perl hower too.

For this particular script/project, its functionality has nothing to do with real-time delivery but backend management. It needs the power that Perl can deliver. To put it another way, this is not a car that needs fuel-injection, more of a commerical truck that needs to carry and pull heavy loads.

BD, yes, I still utilize the guys at PerlCoders consistently. However as they currently have their plate full, both with their own clients aside from me as well as with work I already have them doing, my needs are such that I require additional programming muscle at this point. Thanks for asking.
