Domains Knabbed by registrar? I'm pissed

Its happened to me before I started using www.moniker.com and I havnt had any problems since

We trust all of our domains to Moniker

never had that problem with namecheap.

I imagine it's going to depend on what whois server your using.. use a primary and not a icann reseller.

When I was a clueless newbie 2 and a bit years ago now I registered a few domains with easyspace.com...what a ripoff they were! They even charge £10 to change DNS info!

Someone recommended namecheap where I have registered all my domains since. Great price, great service, great admin interface, I really like namecheap.

A bit of topic I know, but hey I just thought i'd contribute my experience of domain registrars.

You should read up online about their owner. Sorry I only deal with companies run by founders who run honest businesses.

I have an account with namecheap and really like the service. So now I kind of have reduced it to Whois.sc (I think they're a enom reseller) or the possibility someone is sniffing packets which nobody can really prevent. What I'm learning about domain buying is that you gotta be quick and decisive even when buying idiomatic domains such as I do LOL.
