Feb 6th is a day that will live in infamy (Acacia)

Not exactly new news, but it is good news...and it's not that far away.

First day in court for the defendants.

This looks good for all of us, but let's not get too elated. There are other companies out there with similat patents. We need to show them we can stand together and CAN afford to fight them.

If IMPA, Fight The Patent and my Patent This Auction all work it will show any predator that we are a hard nut to crack and not "Low Hanging Fruit"

Blowout deal. 880 videos, 2,400 image sets, plus many RAW videos. $500.

Most excellent man. Once you win in court we will be able to send new bullshit patent companies your URL and say "Now, are you sure you want to push this crap on us?"

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

How much money is IMPA throwing at this problem?

IMPA pays some money to prior art search firms to find prior art... the money that pays the attorneys to do the lawyering thing is actually paid from a pool of money from the Defense Fund.

The Defense Fund (Defense Group) is the 11 defendants pulling their money together for a common defense.

Donations/investments into this Fund help to directly offset costs of the legal bills.

The 11 companies (9 of them listed below) are paying out of their pockets..and WHEN they win, they don't get their money back on the expenses.
