Not entirely true. The figurehead is gone for good. Also, the Iraqi people that were on the fence, worried that he would return to power, no longer have to play it safe, and will be more likely to help us.

Just go to Google and type "Saddam Jihad." He called for Jihad many times. Sure, he wasn't particularly religious but he exploited it whenever needed.

My point was he constantly demanded his citizenry to throw down their lives in defense of his dictatorship. Yet when the time came, he couldn't muster any fight or take his own life (despite being armed).
