    It is really hot in LA

    I am in Newport Beach and it is just hot. We only open our windows for ventilation but mid-day / evening, you just sweat.

    My Pug is so hot, he just drinks water and lays right beside the refridgerator. Seriously.

    Thanks goodness the surf is coming in this morning, the water feels good.

                                                          I drove down there on Thursday from the valley and was staying with some friends down on Balboa island. It was great being right on the water and about 5 or six houses from the ferry to Newport.

                                                          No surfing though but went in the ocean and it felt great. The water wasn't bad at all. It's actually kind of scary some of those waves since they break right on the shore. I'm surprised no one broke their neck trying to bodysurf.

                                                                                  Does it get hotter in Newport than up here in Manhattan Beach (south bay, LA county)? It's been nice here, maybe getting up to 80 but that's not too bad. I do wish beach places came with AC too...seems like with the high rent here we should at least have the option to turn it on if we want.
