    strange things that sooth you

    sitting here on the bed, fluish and trying to get some rest it hits me as strange just how soothing the sound of the laundry going around in the tumble dryer can be.

    Anyone else have strange things that sooth them?

                          I have a "sound soother" on my nightstand. Whenever the boys are a still up and I'm trying to sleep or nap, I turn it on. Ebb Tide is one of my favorites..

                                              The distant sound of a lawn mower at the beginning of Sringtime is a sound to sooth anyone...

                                              But in general.. anything that gives a white noise effect is always soothing..

                                                  - My balls and my inner thighs being lightly scratched by my girls manicured nails. Same goes for the top of my head, scratching my scalp aggressively feels good as well.

                                                  - 1 and a half percocets. Without the additional half a pill, it does absolutely nothing in regard to my relaxation. Same goes for valiums, I need at least two.

                                                  - As said, a light thunderstorm/rain hitting the Palm trees. Just the dim gloomy sky (purple/pink-ish) getting lit up by lightening is quite a tranquil sight.

                                                  - Grab my leg by the sheen and start shaking it back and forth. It allows my ankles/feet to move in all angles and feels quite comforting.

                                                      Blasting my eardrums with some good old 70's rock cooles me down - I can work in peace then - or even go to sleep - It lets me do what I want to do!
