    thinking of buying a BMW Z3 M Roadster but my friends say..

    its a girlie car
    is it really ?
    damn i like that car alot
    i looked at a used car today
    year model 1999
    perfect condition
    only $20k

    new price is over $50k here

    the M model has 321 hp

                                  I think everyone here is confused - he's talkin about the M roadster, NOT the z3 .... the z3 doesn't have 321 horsepower :-)

                                      The M Roadster is my favorite bimmer... Aggressive looks, convertible, a blast to drive, and over 300 hp. Turn off traction control and it can be a handful.

                                                      The M Roadster has a much more aggresive front than the z3 so its definitely not girlie, especially if you get the hardtop coupe instead of the convertible. But its all about the way you drive. My friend recently got a z4 and that thing handles unbelievably well, much better than the current 3-series and the old recently replaced 5-series.

                                                      Get the car, fuck the critics, and drive it like you stole it.

                                                                  traction control is for pussies anyway. Turn it off and enjoy it.


                                                                  M Roadster I think looks better, but if you dont want roof, Roadster is the way to go.

                                                                  321hp roadster was never offered in the North America.

                                                                  <2000 models came with S52B32US engine which was 240hp (same as in e36 m3)
                                                                  2001-2003 came with S54B32 which had 315hp. (same as e46 m3, but lucks the 18hp due to more restrictive exhaust system)

                                                                                  I worked for BMW Australia head office and the dealers always bitched that they couldn't get them sold so the prices dropped big time.

                                                                                  If you don't mind the limited space and bad resale value go for it

                                                                                                                                  No it doesnt... the e55 kicks the living shit out of the bmw line... it's faster than the m5 and m3 and it smmokes them all on the 1/4 mile... not to mention it weighs 2ice as much... only thing BMW has is it's turning... Mercedes cannot turn at full speed and cannot corner as well as Beemer.

                                                                                                                                                                          The MCOUPE kicks ass it's not a girlie car at all. The interior is sick, the engine is sick, the performance is sick. It's an M car. Once that tag is on a BMW you know you're getting a sweet ride.

No one ever called it a girl car, and most of friends loved borrowing it.

                                                                                                                                                                                      People would pull up and ask how fast it goes, so be careful with the speeding tickets You will get a ton of compliments, especially with the top down.

                                                                                                                                                                                      The performance is top notch, and it kicks the Honda's ass. The reason i finally got rid of it was that it is not practical with wife/and kids.

                                                                                                                                                                                      I don't think there is a more fun car to drive in the price range. Forget what stupid people are telling you. The people who know BMW's M's know it's a performance car.

                                                                                                                                                                                      Ended up with the BMW 330 convertible, but it is nothing like the M.
