Yes there is.
It isn't as difficult as people think. To redeem himself he needs to pick up his phone and make a few calls. Apologize for what he's done, inform those parties what's going on and how the situation can be resolved.
If he has any skill at all, any talent, he should be able to find SOME form of work. A couple of his friends have attested for him in this very thread, they can possibly reach out and help him find work. Sure, it will probably be small stupid jobs at first but it's still work.
Running from your problems is no way of solving them and is certainly no way of proving yourself as a "friend". Shawn needs to open his eyes before he runs into a brick wall.
