It doesn't. Most productions simply don't have the budget to license good music. They have one of their guys mess around on a program like Acid and make some loops. If its good enough for a Jenna Jameson movie (acid loops that is) than one could argue that it would be acceptable for all productions not as high in profile.
Then there's the other half that just steal music, much like many here used to steal images in the early to mid 90's without licensing them.
My opinion is that there isn't a lot of work for music peeps in the adult industry, wether it be internet or video based.
Maybe I'm wrong and someone else can enlighten us, but I haven't seen much of a market for music in adult. I wish it were different, because I am musically inclined.
