    looking for lynxwebhosting info

Can someone help me out. I am looking for a phone number or some direct contact to lynxwebhosting.com support. I have tried their email and icq's but no response. Their site is no longer online for some reason. And along with that my sites are gone as well even the FTP access is gone. All I can say is I am not pleased and neither are some of my clients.

Well if anyone is running sites on lynx webhosting they have been down again for most of today.

Last week they were down and now again today....doesn't look good.

Time to do some shopping around.

Well I guess this crash is more serious then the first one.

"LynxWebhosting.com's Major Shared server has experienced a serious crash this morning.

We are currently working with Tech's in the datacentre to try and get the server back online, no ETA as of yet."

Friday morning everything disappears, now Saturday afternoon everything is still missing. I just hope my DB isn't gone...I only backed it up a week ago..

Don't host companies have back up systems to prevent things like this from happening? So their down time is very short, like maybe hours instead of days

Well for those who care or use this hosting company here is the lastest info I have.

              -----------------------------------------

              Hello XXXXXXX,

Im sorry but there was some major hard drive problems, it is expected that all
data has been lost although we will be trying to get back any that we can.

Lynxwebhosting will be running under new management (and likely under the name
of the company taking over unitedworldinternet.com). New server has been setup
ready for hosting with new hard drives and backup procedures being put in
              place.
              -----------------------------------------

Guess Lynx didn't have any backups and were running off one server for all their hosting. (not saying this is 100% true, but if you lose everything with 1 harddrive failure there is a problem in my opinion.)
