I'm pretty close to the meterosexual...I wear brand name clothes, work out, drive a decent car, use cologne and care about my appearance.
On the other hand, I do not moisturize, love anal sex, wear shiney shirts, get manicures or spend hours in the bathroom preening my hair.
I'm not sure where I fit in, but I think this term was derived by fat slobs who were mad because their girlfriends left them for men with a decent fashion sense, and who actually care about their appearance.Comment

I used to work at a bar for a guy that has been calling himself that for over a year. I did disagree with some of the more fem stuff that he would do, but that guy pulled more ridiculously hot pussy tha any person I have ever run across. I wouldn't do it myself, but I can see why others would. I personally do it by being the gruff tattooed bouncer (and somehow that works wonders too!)Comment

The "gruff tatooed bouncer" can, IMO, be a "metrosexual" as well, if he tends to his skin care, bathes regularly, and knows how to order in a better restaurant.
