Ok so you got the coolest site build and you are all set up to go grab some traffic and make some money.
How do you do that?
Networking my friends. For some of you you allready know what I am talking about and it can take years to come where I am today but if you get the right path into the game you can have a good network in no time at all.
So why do I need friends?
Well friends are the ones that will help you when times get hard. There are alot of scammers and stupid people out in this bizz and they can be hard to see at first and when you see them you are allready burned most of the times.
Everyday you read about sponsors fucking webmasters and people ordering stuff and work that they pay for and dont see anything back.
So how do I start my network of trusty friends?
Well I started a few years back and some people I still have contact with on a daily basis but some have moved on doing other stuff.
The most important thing when you are new is to not add someone or email someone asking every damn question you can come up with. We are a handfull people who might answer someone who do that but most people will just get tired and put you on ignore list.
So what am I to do?
Well start off with someone who are in the same field and at the same spot in the bizz. Try and help eachother and get tips and read alot.
New trades are also a good way to make new and good friends.
And most important BE NICE!
If you can help a guy out do so. You never know before you get to know the guy what he can do for you.
I have meet most of my friends this way.
They ask me something and I try to help them.
Later on I find out they are great webdesigner or superb programmers that are willing to help me in return for what I done for them.
If someone you try and contact are rude to you dont start some flaming war.
Just be nice and say "Ok sorry I disturb you" And move on.
Odds are you only loose more if you start to bitch since you never know who is on the other side.
So be nice.
And let me tell you. Helping other people is the best way to make good solid friends.
There is a reason why my icq list is over 200 contacts by now LOL!
So start networking today and make new friends.
Do not give up because someone tell you to fuck off. You will encounter alot of these people who think they are to good to help.
The good guys are out there so it´s just a matter of filter them out and leave the bad guys behind.
So stick to your plan and keep up the good work!
