The highest Ive seen is 1,500 but unless you got millions of people visiting your site every day I'd start low. How much do you advertise? Ill advertise on your site for $50 a month..no seriously

obviously, you can charge whatever you want. but you won't necessarily get paid.
find out what the spot is worth to you (how much could you make off of it) and add a profit to that, and that's what you should charge.
