I have been getting very bad results with the sign ups at cc bill as well.
I have been emailing with ccbill about it but all they could come up with is more and more people using privacysoftware.
I decided to put it to the test and signed up for two sites using my own link. Both did not show up in my results....
Mind you... I have cookies enabled and I disabled firewall and any other privacysoftware.
Been emailing cc bill some more on this matter and what we came up is that somehow when I look at the sourcecode on the joinpage my refercode is not there....
Thus ccbill can not register it and count the signup.
I have had several listings at the hun with no sign up as well from the same sponsor that gave me like 10 signups with a hun listing before.
I am talking with the sponsor now (which is avery small one and is promoted by only about 3 webmasters) to see if they have had a peek in signups on the day of the Hun listings....

What amazes me is that people come on here, throw blame around because there traffic is not converting.

We have affiliates that are 1:50 with us all day long and we also haev affiliates that are 1:10,000. Its nothing to do with the processing and everything to do with the traffic.

I'm not saying your traffic is bad, but I am saying it must not match the site you are sending to at all. It's pretty clear you know what you are doing, but considering how long you have been around you should also have an understanding of the swings in conversions.

Its just interesting that you slam ccbill over this, because ccbill, regardless of there well documented aggresive scrubbing, is by far the very last stop that should be made when it comes to placing blame.

By the way.. that "aggresive scrubbing" ccbill involves itself in keeps this industry strong and secure. It also ensure that they (ccbill) will be here for the long haul. I would rather have them scrubb then have to be changing processors every month, as so many sponsors have had to do over the last 6 months.

Just my opinion man. Of course.. I dont know all the fact and my comments are based soley on your first post.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

I got a check from CCBill today. The "transfer fee" deducted was $0.37.

The letter was stamped and sent with a $0.29 postage.

I'm right there with you, I don't send CCbill sites a lot of traffic as they are mostly just filler galleries for my TGPs.. But with the same TGP traffic I get 1:200- 1:500 ratios on several other programs yet I can't seem to get any sales with CCbill sites.

You're right. I"ve been getting a check every week for almost three years and I've never checked the postage until now. It does say 29 cents.

I'll bet that extra 8 cents per client adds up to a princely sum every week.

If you step back from you computer and just look back over the last 4 or 5 years you will see a trend. The trend we are seeing is that there is more and more free galleries and sites on the web. Sponsors bring out 30 or 40 new sites each year. Surfers have more choice and the internet is no longer growing at the rate it did a few years ago. All this points to more porn available to less surfers, the result is that the proliferation of sites will get proportionally less sign ups. Its becoming harder and harder to make sales on the web. The tightening of scrub rates due to unscrupulous webmasters and surfers who want to fuck you out of your membership fee have all added to this reduction in revenue.
Our main sponsor uses 4 processing companies and we promote their sites using all 4. Over the past few months CCbill and Ibill have gone up and Epoch has gone down. Same traffic to the same sites. I suspect its just a random event and we are seeing swings like this every month or two. It seems to me the only way to make more $$$ is to work smarter and get the best possible quality traffic you can.

                        the correct answer.

and then i'll say something sacrilegious.

My CCBill stats fell off the face of the earth about 4 months ago. Not over the last 5 years blah blah blah, 4 months. I pushed it somewhere else and BINGO. I really think they adjust scrub even though they deny it every time I mention it.

And to you people saying "Some do 1:50, some do 1:10,000" well no shit. But I know MY traffic and what MY traffic is worth. When it drops to 1:10,000 FROM 1:50 there is an obvious problem. Shit doesn't swing 1 month good then you can't sell it anymore. My shit dropped and I could pinpoint the hour almost. I push 0 CCBill sponsors as of right now because of it. I don't like switching links and I'd rather use somebody else than have to watch for swings that bad so I can move traffic.

I've done some promotion on some personal sites of mine. Some ccbill sponsors go 0:8,000
                                Others go 1:180

It all depends on the traffic I think personally. I have good WITH the bad. Overall my ccbill ratio is decent. And I find them soooo easy to work with I tend to ONLY use ccbill sponsors. Loyal customer.

That's not what I'm saying. For instance I pushed a sponsor that used CCBill only. For over a month my ratio was 1:60 to 1:100 off SE traffic only. Then one day nada. Next day nada. Next week nada. 1 more sale from 50 times the traffic that got 10. Highly targetted to the sponsor. You telling me that's "normal" because there is no way in hell it is.

GOOD Answer Cindy, you got it right on the nail.I have one more little thing to add to this thread. It goes to all webmasters that are running paysites with affililiate programs. This only concerns the shavers of the programs, we run a business just like you. We have bandwidth, internet connection, rent, salary & other stuff that we pay every month. SHAVING us will eventually run us out of business & this means you to eventually so why don't you guys be fuckin honest to yourselves & do the right freakin thing DONT FUCKIN SHAVE US hard working sponsors, traffic is not like it was 2-10 years ago, we all need our sales to survive. To be serious I am just 3 months away of not doing it anymore if company's like CCBILL & EPOCH don't get their freakin acts together & fix their problems.

LOL ( that "aggresive scrubbing" ccbill involves itself in keeps this industry strong and secure ) are you fuckin kiddind me, the aggressive scrubbing will not keep the industry strong and secure, shit if this keeps up for another 3 months, I will be probably not be doing this business anymore after 5 years of experience doing it. They need to keep up with innovation, the internet changes every day & they need to do the same, hire some new freakin programmers that know what the hell they are doing for god sake!

my ratios with ccbill gone to the hell in past two weeks too. I used to convert with them about 1:150, nowadays its about 1:800, however traffic is from the same source, same SE positon.
