I would add to that. Don't aim for $1k, 2k, whatever in your first few months of doing new, because it almost never happens. The important thing is to break even - - and if after that, if there is $5k left over: drive it back into your work. Reinvestment pays off big time. One of the most impotant things is to effectively manage the money that the business brings in, rather than placing it all in a personal bank account as I know for a fact, many webmasters do. Be $marter than everyone else.
People tend to forget that this IS a business. As ever, you're either a success or you're not.
