Godaddy took our old domain adultgods.com because we sold a referrer script that had adultgods.com as the main useragent. Our own fault, but if you have another registrar you should be fine anyway.Comment

Actually, it was GoDaddy, a registrar, that took our domain name, and we didn't actually referrer spam. We sold a script that referrer spammed, and due to the fact that this referrer spamming bot had "AdultGods.com" as its User-Agent header, stupid people assumed that we were the perps when Google started to fill up on references to our domain.Comment

Play safe and use whitehat referral spam.
That is where you make a links page with about 7.5 milion links on it and pay $5 Submission's people to click on each one for you daily.
Then when the site owners come looking they will see a real link and go away happy without adding you to the blacklist. They may even give you a perm link back.
