Sponsors, revise your freakin' galleries

Newsflash:
Hosted galleries are for TGPs, to be listed by the webmaster himself, and are not there to be submitted.

They're meant to maximize profit for you and the TGP webmaster, so pretty please. Link your freakin thumbs to pics on ad pages and even link the freakin' pic to the paysite.

There is so many affiliate programs that don't that kind of thing, it's astonishing to me.

I would LOVE to see that happen. Shit I'd love to see that happen for regular gallery submissions too. There is no reason you can't control scammers/cheaters just as well as you do now.

The point is to FUCKING SELL PORN.

Sponsor hosted galleries will not fuck you over. Period.

Why not maximize the ad space? Someone throw me a bone. I don't have my own affiliate program. Someone enlighten me!

One thing I personally hate are sponsors that recycle the same pics and just put differing layouts and colors. This has to go.

I have brought this up a few months back, and I got re-inspired by Sly's post earlier.

What are sponsors waiting for, for heaven's sakes?

Hosted galleries are the number one selling tool for the broad TGP webmaster crowd. And yet, few have milked the money cow on them well...

I think you have a very great idea. Some sponsors are already doing it now, but only for tgp2, doing this for tgp would be an excelent idea. Not only put pics on html with ads, but also drop the damn pic resolution to 500 pixels long MAX.

However I think there is a reason that webmasters don't request these types of galleries for their tgp's. Most submit scripts search for src="~~~~~.jpg tags in gallery pages and to have the scripts modified may be time consuming and expensive, let alone any tgp owners even be willing to get mods done to allow this.

I know AGP can deal with pics on html but it's a bit trikcy to get going right. If tgp owners however were willing to use this type of gallery and hardlink them on their page this would make for better bottom lines.

Ratios would be insane though and that might scare some tgp owners. Having pics on html with pics linked to sponsor generates insane amounts of click due to it being semi blind and from accidental clicks, but again, sales are higher because more room is there for advertising material and text so it's all good in the long run.

Great idea - We recently refreshed all the images in our hosted galleries with new - Adding a background to several hundred galleries is really only a few minutes work - I shall certainly go with it!

Over the last couple of months I've designed alot of sponsor hosted galleries...I've got SHG's cummin' out my ears...LOL

But yeah you're right..about linking to an html page or the tour itself...however I think it's more important for some to say "I have X amount of unique visitors a day," rather than..."I made X amount of money off of my unique visitors today."

This is not to disparage all tgp owners, I just think some people's priorities might be a bit messed up.

Now don't get me wrong...I'm not talking about the real success stories...the guys who have both the traffic and the money.

Ours have this option you can have it either way, we do the same with the hosted movie pages also.

We let the webmaster sending his traffic decide how they want it.

Yes they do have the option, but a lot of TGP webmasters won't take the time to momentarily switch the settings

Good idea but NOT GREAT .

I have always done text sites so that would not affect me, however, while doing thumb sites and cropping images I am getting very pissed off with sponsers that have pics on html pages.

The best solution would be to have a set up like mediumpimpin. That program is fuckin genius. You select the layout and whether you want it on a html page or not.

I have probably worked with more sponsors on hosted gall;eries than some, andf all I can really say is this:

Most people trunning a program dont have a clue about hosted galleries, or hell, converting in general.

They often turn to the designer for thoughts on what to do.

I am hit almost daily with, 'what do you think would convert better, should I do this or this?'

It gets old, I have STOPPED schooling webmasters and am working to do exactly what you are talking about for the site me and Donovan Phillips are launching.

I plan on having pics on pages and pics linking the site itself.

My experience is this EQ: fuck waiting on them to do anything, do it yourself.

We have thought about doing that, but most of the webmaster TGP owners said that they wanted the regular pictures, not redirecting surfers to our tours because they want the surfers to come back to their site not direct them to popup hell. Although we only use one popup max two. Another reason was their stats would not be as acurate. But I believe we will start offering it both ways with our next galleries.

I am not talking about redirecting the surfer to a tour, I am talking about pictures on clean html pages with advertisements, including the webmaster's linking code to the paysite.
