Nothing like hearing the doorbell ring and opening the door and seeing 4 Sheriffs ...outside.

Long story short , divorce between my parents, I have been trying to mediate it and such . Last night I hear the bell ring open up with 4 sheriffs with a restraining order ready to take my dad out.

they have been legally divorced for a yr. my dad signed the house over to her . I was being called qa few times per week by my brothers to reolve the beef. So i was coming back home all the time.

I am looking now to get my two little borthers out and take em with me and buy a house where they will stay with me.

I have a vested interested in the house so I am looking for it to be sold so i can get my cut and evryone can go their own separate ways.

Divorces always suck - the sad part is that the kids are always the pawns in between getting shoved from one end to the other & used in their emotional hostage taking. It sucks, I know - but trust me Juicy, it gets better & I commend you for wanting to take care of your siblings - it's very honorable of you.

parents have an obligation to suck it up and divorce in a mature responsible way so the kids, and i'm including kids up who are adult age like juicy, lives don't get affected more than they already have been just by the fact their family is breaking apart.

Isn't it sort of pathetic that they would send 4 deputies to deliver a single document on one person?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Restraining orders really aren't all that uncommon so he shouldn't worry too much. They are actually pretty typical with a divorce action.

The part that I think is confusing is why were the kids at your father's house? They almost always award custody to the mother. So, it is interesting that your father has the kids with him. The fact that the court allows him to have the kids says something good about him (but it could be saying something bad about your mother).

Now that I think about it, this restraining order also might work against him with any visitation or custody he has with the kids. If your mother is able to demonstrate to the court that he is a serious threat, danger (or whatever) then he might lose any visitation/custody he might have.

What a mess. It's so sad to hear. Good luck.
