I bought a wireless router... ADVICE

I now need the card for my laptop.

Is it recommended I get a card from the same company? (netgear)

if it doesn't change shit I'll just get a no-name cheapo.

It's really not necessary to get the same nic as long as it's compatible, it should be fine!

      thanks.
      just as I suspected.

I was afraid the configuration might be awkward because somebody told me it could be.

      Off to future shop tomorow!

I was wondering, how do you connect an Xbox to a wireless router?

What kind of wireless card you need?

There are a few different wireless technologies out there and only a few are compatible if you got a brand new router it probebly supports them but just so you know when getting a card, is the netgear much more expensive thats a good brand to go with....

Here's some unsolicited advice. Secure your network with WEP and a MAC address policy. I live in a small town of 12,000 residents and found 40 insecure networks with NetStumbler between my home and office.
