The reason is economical.
Imagine you sell pot. And day five awesome girls come to you and say they want to suck your dick and fuck you if you give them a bag of the best pot in town. If you give them the pot you sell it will cost you say $500 and if you were not a pot dealer the only way for you would be to pay those $500. But you are in a better position. You may go to the big man who gives you pot for sail explain him the situation and say: "Hey,dude! Two girls are enough for me. Let's make such a thing: you give a bag of pot for $100 and I give you three girls to suck and fuck for the whole night."
The situation is profitable for both of us: you get for $100 what you could get for $100 and your boss gets for $500 what he would get for $1000 (in fact those girls are worth much more)
That is exactly my situation. If I pay a trial for surfer by cc it will cost me say $5. But for the site owner it hardly costs $1. And I don't want them for free. Say, I send traffic for which my commissions are $50 and ask for that 20 free trials. So the paysite instead of spending $50 spends only $20 and I instead of spending 20 * $5 = $100 spend $50.
And we both are happy!
Extremely simple arithmetics, isn't it?
And if the numbers are not $50 but $500 or $5000 ?

Yeah, I'm russian. If you knew the language you could understand it from my nick. Serge Oprano is russian too. And many others who made their millions on adult internet. And only a fraction of them are cheaters.
In fact I think that russian webmasters are more skillful and potentially more successful than ones from the gold billion. Because you may easily invest in your project $5000 and earn $7000 on it and it'll be great for you. The majority of people from other countries where average month's income is $300 start from below $100 and build empires. And most of them are russians. Maybe some of them use not very honest ways of making money, but who says that Bill Gates' way who stole the idea from OS/2 is honest?
