They really have no choice, Shaq is demanding to be traded. It really makes sense in all areas. Shaq is getting old and makes $30 mil per year. Kobe is 7 years younger and will only make $20 mil per yr if he resigns with the Lakers. Surrond Kobe with some good talent and they are contenders again. They will never be the same dynasty they were with Shaq and Kobe, but they will be still be a contender.

However if they lose both they will be the laughing stalk of all sports for many years to come.
