It works. Some surfers loves it, others don't hate it.

        My :

I'd say it depends on your audience...

Men= little text, very nasty sounding...kind of like 'comic book' blurbs.

Women= more text, still very nasty sounding, more like 'short story'.

Doesn't hurt your chances with the SEs either.

Whether it works its questionable, but I dont see what negative effects it would have if any.

              Take Luck!

                Text sells.

                Stories sell.

Women like them moer than men, but really, if there wasn't a bcakground story, would you want to see more of a chick than you see in the gallery, or would you just look at the pics and move on? In some cases, there wouldn't even be any gazing at the pics unless there was some sort of blurb to tease the imagination.

On free sites, I make picture stories....not much text, just enough to tease.

I've also done this on pay sites...but, it depends on the niche. Men read. They are very visual, I think. And, they don't want to read an entire book.

Feed their imaginations with pics and a little bit of teaser text...so they don't have to overwork...getting blood flow to the big head AND the little head.

I've also sold 'teaser text' ads to sponsors, who say they work very well.

They are maybe three short paragraphs long...they set the scene, get a little steamy and then, well, if they want to know the rest of the story, the surfer has to join. Usually, they are accompanied by pics.

On galleries, it worked once for me and that was for a Tranny gallery.

I think I made the stories a little too long on galleries after that. So I stopped.

The older the male surfer the more likely he is to read - but don't forget - studies have shown that reading on the net is not as pleasurable as reading a book.

People read up to 25% slower on the net so be sure to use short sentences and short paragraphs.

I see lots of stories out there that have absolutely no paragraphs at all - hardly anyone is going to wade through crap like that.
