Anime/cartoon content

Hello guys,

Does anybody here has any experience with selling anime/hentai/erotic art content? Does it sell well or not? And what is the average price per pictures?

I have a friend that can draw anime/hentai/erotic art content for me but I am not sure if it is worth buying from him. He wants about $5 per image. I have a content store so I wouldn't be a problem for me to sell it there!

The question is the price. Do you think that $5 per image is a good price?

There is an example of his work! This is his first picture that he draw just to show us what he should be able to do! I know it's nothing special but he has no guidelines for this work! If I decide to buy his work I would show him the style of anime and hentai!

Any coments will be appreciate.

the price is good, his skills are ok (I'd make the black contour thiner) ! make episodes with 15-20 cartoons and you should do good...

And wht do you think? Is it better to do just anime/hentai style (for asian) or erotic art (cartoon with non asian style)? Which sells better?

I think quality art sells, if you do straight hentai style you will have a better shot at the Japanese market, but there are tons of hentai sites in Japan and in bookstores. You can try offering both. Btw, if you need contact with some more artists hit me up on icq at 36837470.

Thank you all for your comments and opinions.
I have made a deal with the cartoonist for first three sets. They should be:
1st set - anime style 25 pics telling some story
2nd set - 25 different anime pics
3rd set - 25 diffrent cartoon funny erotic pics

When it will be ready I will post some samples and links to them.

I think the price is good. Honestly, I wouldn't do it for $5/pic, unless I maintained resell rights for myself.

I`ll give him only $5 because I don`t know how the sets will looks and if the set will sell. If the work will good I can pay him more.
But If I pay him later $8 per image thats 25images x $8 thats $200.
If I will sell this set for $30 I have to sell it at least 10 times and after that, 11th set will make me a profit. (from $30 I have to pay 10% fee to CC processor, about 15% tax, and others fees)

Does anybody know how many times can average set resell?

I really don't have any experience selling toon content, but I would imagine it would depend on who you're selling to. If you're selling to webmasters for publication rights, then there will definitely be a tapering off period as the content becomes more and more exposed.

For private use, and assuming it doesn't get distributed on something like kazaa and newsgroups, then I don't see the same tapering off. However, I would be surprised if you could sell 25 pictures for $30 to a viewer only.
