I agree they get annoying and I hate them very much also, but let's look at it from Lens' perspective.
He's not losing any posters.. maybe 1 or 2, but not enough to matter.
He get's paid to run them.
Webmasters are more banner blind than surfers, with my volume off, I cannot honestly even name one banner up there.
So, he does something to get you to look. It works, because people make multiple threads about the ones who DO make noise, and then other people go LOOK for them to see what the hell
