    Help! Can an ad campaign be too good?

    My dilemma ? I have an ad at the top of my TGP that is sucking traffic like hell won?t have it. I just put it up and it has tons of hits (3.7K+) without a conversion. Those are ccBill numbers. Site looks good and I should complain about an ad working?? 25%+ of my traffic clicks on it. I see productivity falling off, so I?m afraid I?m losing surfers. The new sponsor for me is creammypies.com ? they?ve been around five years.. Yep, I open it in a new window.

    In fact, about any campaign I put there draws hits like mad. I always try to have something that?s appealing. But they never make the $$. Any comments on what?s wrong?? I think the site should convert like crazy? I?ll take any suggestions on the whole site. Conversions on everything have gone to hell in the last couple of weeks.

                  Yep, TGP traffic and I understand that.... Over half the traffic does come from SEs and Bookmarks. Under the delusion that the SE traffic would be better even though the site is TGP. About 30-40% is SE.

                  I have a number of TGP sites. So my thinking was traffic is power, even if its TGP. So when I move up, I'd have some traffic to work with.

                  Was ready to move on to AVS and then they start folding.. Hey, bought art and everthing.

                  Apperiate the comments and the nudge..

                              For me it seems that with a TGP you can only do a fixed number of sales like 10/day. If your ads are pulling waaayyy more traffic, mostly I see those 10 sales and not more. If the ads pull less traffic... still the 10 sales... very strange!

                                      I'm guessing the problem is "Free preview." If you want them to whip out the card, state clearly they'll be paying or even the price. Your CTR will drop, but your ratio will be MUCH better.

                                          was worried that some that may be tempted and do it would be scared away by the whole $15 for a month.

                                                      Laughing my ass off on that one..... my girl friend likes it. For me it just takes time to load... dark blue works fine for me.

                                                          Glad someone here can take a laugh for once. 98% of the people here would have fliped out and started with the over that. Anyway if that background get's you extra wake up hummers from the old lady then keep it.
